The 2021 MLB Free Agency class is absolutely packed with top-tier talent and outfielder Nick Castellanos is one of those names. According to MLB Network's Jon Morosi, the San Francisco Giants are one of the main teams interested in him along with the Miami Marlins:

While he does have Miami roots, the Giants in particular could heavily benefit from signing Castellanos. He is coming off one of his best career seasons from an offensive standpoint, hitting .309 with 34 homers for the Cincinnati Reds. He also had 100 RBI's in 138 games played.

San Francisco surprised everyone in 2021, where they won the NL West but fell in the division series to the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Giants are also reeling with the retirement of Buster Posey, while Kris Bryant is a free agent. But, Gabe Kapler's squad is hopeful of locking down Bryant for the long term.

Nonetheless, another impact bat like Castellanos could be huge for the Giants, especially if the former Cubs All-Star can't be retained. He brings solid defense at the hot corner and is capable of playing in the outfield as well. San Francisco has no shortage of pop in their lineup but adding a guy like Castellanos who is averaging 25 bombs since 2017 would undoubtedly make them better.

The Marlins will be fierce competition though given his connection to the state of Florida.
