Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is beating Father Time.

Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra called James “timeless” after his 51-point game against his former team on Sunday, per Bill Oram of The Athletic.

“He’s timeless,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. “I throw on their games from time to time when I can’t sleep and watch the West Coast games. I just think you can book it every year – 27, eight and seven. Doesn’t matter what uniform, doesn’t matter what year, doesn’t matter how old.”

Spoelstra is right. This is what we expect from James every single year. We always expect him to slow down, or see if Father Time catches up to him, but it has not yet. It is pretty crazy to witness.

James is 33 years old and in his 16th season in the league, but he's still playing at a high level. In fact, James is averaging 27.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, 7.2 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.9 blocks per game. He's shooting 51 percent from the field and 36.4 percent from three.

Furthermore, James had his 12th 50-point game against his former team. It's awe-inspiring to watch what he does on the court and off the court as well.

We should not take LeBron James for granted because we may never see another athlete like him ever again. He's just one of a kind.
