The Jacksonville Jaguars are looking to upgrade their offense in the offseason. They have done just that by scooping up wide receiver Phillip Dorsett from free agency as Jags head coach Urban Meyer hopes to add more fuel to his offense for the upcoming campaign.

This report comes via Jeremy Fowler of ESPN:

Dorsett saw his 2020 season derailed after he was forced to undergo surgery on his right foot back in November. The one-time Super Bowl champion signed with the Seahawks as a free agent prior to the start of the 2020 campaign but was never able to suit up for Seattle. Dorsett turns another page in his career as he looks to a fresh start in Jacksonville.

The Jaguars have been quite active on Day 1 of free agency as they look to give first-year coach Urban Meyer all the tools he needs to succeed in the NFL. Roy Robertson-Harris was the Jags' first free-agent signing with the defensive tackle reportedly agreeing to a three-year deal worth $24.4 million. Minutes later, it was announced that Jacksonville had also agreed to a deal with Jamal Agnew on a $21 million deal for three years. Finally, safety Rudy Ford was also brought on on a two-year, $4.2 million deal.

All this is in preparation for the arrival of consensus first overall pick Trevor Lawrence who is widely expected to be Jacksonville's cornerstone superstar of the future. The Jaguars already appear to be building around the highly-touted quarterback even before his actual arrival, and as it is, they're already looking like a much better side than they were last season.
