DeAndre Jordan is notorious for being one of the worst free throw shooters in the NBA, and perhaps ever. For his career, he's shot a horrendous 42 percent from the charity stripe.

Those struggles were on full display last night as the United States Olympic men's basketball team annihilated China in a exhibition game at Staples Center in Los Angeles. With little time remaining and Team USA holding a 51-point lead, Jordan air-balled his lone free throw attempt, much to the amusement of his teammates.

During Jordan's postgame interview, Jimmy Butler provided the big man with some basic, yet possibly effective advice:

Considering how much physical exertion D.J. puts into possessions at both ends of the floor, it's likely that his hands are quite sweaty as he heads to the line. Mentally, Jordan still has some issues to work on when shooting free throws, but Butler's recommendation could have a positive impact on the physical side.

His form could use some assistance, too.
