The impact that Philadelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders has provided his team as a rookie has been truly impressive. The potential he has is truly impressive to think about.

The 2019 second-round pick has started during 10 games during the 2019 season with six of those occurring consecutively over the team's last six weeks. So far, he has totaled 766 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns on 170 carries along with 510 receiving yards and three touchdown catches on 47 receptions.

The production from Sanders has even sparked buzz for him as a candidate for the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year award. Some have even raised the question if he has had the best rookie season in Eagles history. The progression in Sanders' development has been apparent to his teammates. In fact, Brandon Brooks stated that the game is “slowing down” for the rookie running back and that he's “a lot faster than people think.”

“He’s balling out,” Brooks said after the Cowboys game, via EJ Smith of The Philadelphia Inquirer. “The game is slowing down for him. He’s looking good out there, man. He’s smooth when he runs. I would say everyone knows he’s fast, but he has deceptive speed. He’s a lot faster than people think. Maybe because he’s a long strider, but [shoot], when he gets going, he can really move.”

“I honestly don’t think much has to change,” Eagles coach Doug Pederson said on Thursday, via Zack Rosenblatt of NJ Advance Media. “I think Jordan is a piece to the puzzle. He can obviously add depth, but Miles has been sort the hot hand here lately and we want to continue that going.”

Despite splitting some carries, Sanders has openly stated that he wants the Eagles to put the game on his shoulders.

With the high stakes of the lead in the NFC East standings on the line, Sanders managed to record 156 total yards from scrimmage and one touchdown. That was a strong look into the way he can perform in the biggest of moments and a potential playoff appearance could be his next big opportunity to showcase his talent.

It's difficult to project far out into the future because so many unexpected things happen in the NFL. However, it does seem that Miles Sanders is well on his way to being one of the most versatile backs in the league that routinely makes a strong impact on his team.
