Iman Shumpert has been a pleasant surprise for the Sacramento Kings so far this season. At one point a few years back, he was expected to develop into a very good players. Those expectations faded over the last few seasons, but he is finally beginning to show flashes of being the player that many thought he could be.

Throughout the first four games of the season with the Kings, Shumpert has started two of them. He has averaged 13.0 points per game to go along with 2.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists. Shumpert has connected on 58.1 percent of his shot attempts and has made 52.6 percent of his 3-point attempts.

Shumpert put together a massive performance against the Oklahoma City Thunder on October 21, scoring 26 points. He has become an important piece of the Kings' rotation, to say the least.

According to a report from Sean Cunningham of ABC10 in Sacramento, Shumpert is questionable to play tonight against the Memphis Grizzlies due to a sore hip.

At 28 years old, Iman Shumpert is still more than capable of reaching his full potential. He may have had a disappointing few seasons, but he seems ready to turn things around.

Sacramento has started the season 1-3, but they are headed the right direction. It has been a long time since they have been playoff contenders, but Vlade Divac seems to be making the right moves to get back to that level of play.

It will be interesting to see if Shumpert can continue playing at the high level that he has begun the season. Hopefully, his sore hip will heal quickly and he will miss little or no time at all.
