Just wow. Buddy Hield breaks the hearts of Denver Nuggets fans everywhere with a buzzer-beating tip-in to win it for the Sacramento Kings, 124-122.

Here's the clip of the wild ending in the Mile High City:

Buddy Hield ended the game with 22 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 5 triples. But none were more important than his last rebound and basket there.

The Kings were actually buoyed by Harrison Barnes in the overtime period, who had six of their ten points leading up to that point. Barnes had an open lay-up off a bad turnover from Nikola Jokic. He failed to jam it in over the outstretched arms of Will Barton, which opened the door for an even crazier last-second tip in from Hield.

But let's not overlook the equally as important defensive stop from the team's talisman, De'Aaron Fox. When things seemed bleak, Fox pinned an ill-advised lay-up attempt from Barton with less than 13 seconds left and the Nuggets up two. This led to a fastbreak opportunity that eventually tied the game that moments prior seemed like a Denver victory.

The Nuggets meanwhile got an underwhelming performance from Jamal Murray. Their lead guard fouled out with a line of 9 points, 4 rebounds, and just a single assist against Sacramento.

They got most of their firepower from All-NBA center Nikola Jokic who notched a massive triple-double, and emerging talent Michael Porter Jr. who had 24 points as a starter.

The good news for Denver after the brutal Kings loss is that it's just game 1 of many. But for fans watching at home, exciting nights like these will always be welcome.
