New York Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau has been doing an admirable job in his first year with the team. The franchise's former star in Portland Trail Blazers forward Carmelo Anthony didn't hold back in acknowledging the work and of Thibodeau in the Big Apple, so far.

“I think we all know what Thibs brings to the game,” Anthony said via SNY TV. “It's just his intensity and his focus and his attention to detail. Any team he's ever coached have played the same way.

The 36-year-old Syracuse product also gave praises to the team's young players who have been putting up great performances early on to contribute to the rebuilding cause of the Knicks.

“They play hard, they leave it all out there on the court, they never give up, they never quit and regardless of the outcome, you see that with this young team that he has now.”

New York is currently holding a 10-13 record to start the season with the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference. Julius Randle has elevated his game to another level while RJ Barrett continues to impress for the Knicks. Mitchell Robinson, Elfrid Payton, Obi Toppin, and Immanuel Quickley are all valuable contributors to the team as well.

Tom Thibodeau's veteran wits came to show once again as his squad gutted out a narrow 107-103 win over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night. Meanwhile, Carmelo Anthony and his banged-up Blazers team are also coming off a huge 121-105 win over the Philadelphia 76ers sans Ben Simmons.

After finishing the night with 22 points to gain the victory, Carmelo Anthony will hope to have another great performance when he faces his old squad in Madison Square Garden on Feb. 6.
