It looks like the New York Knicks are not yet done bolstering their backcourt. After officially signing Jalen Brunson, the ‘Bockers are now linked with Donovan Mitchell once again.

The Knicks have shown interest in Mitchell before, but those talks hit a wall when it was rumored that Utah would prefer building around the guard and trading Rudy Gobert instead. Now that the Jazz have reportedly warmed up to the idea of totally rebuilding and moving Mitchell as well, New York is expected to come calling.

“Expect the New York Knicks to quickly try and put together a package for Donovan Mitchell, according to league sources. Utah’s bar for Trading Mitchell is sky high. But the Knicks are the team that has the assets to make this a conversation,” Tony Jones of The Athletic wrote.

It will be interesting to see what the Knicks will offer the Jazz for Donovan Mitchell. Perhaps a package centered around RJ Barrett could be the starting point, especially since the 22-year-old will fit the timeline of Utah's rebuild.

However, as Jones noted in a follow-up tweet, there is no deal imminent on the Mitchell trade front. While the Knicks are said to be interested, the Jazz might also decide to wait it out and see all the offers they can get for their superstar guard.

The Jazz can also just decide to keep Mitchell, so unless the Knicks or any other suitors make an interesting offer that is hard to refuse, Danny Ainge and co. probably won't listen.
