ESPN's Stephen A. Smith is not holding back with his offseason predictions for incoming unrestricted free agents Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. According to the renowned analyst, his sources have told him that there is a 95% chance that both guys will be teaming up for the New York Knicks next season.

Smith also notes in his recent statement that some people in their respective camps might be telling Irving and Durant that there may be better options for them in terms of which team they will sign for in the summer, but that both guys have already set their sights in making the Madison Square Garden their new home court.

This has been a rumor that has been circling for some time now, and Smith is just the latest to provide a seemingly highly reliable source for the potential team-up.

The Knicks do have the cap space to sign both Durant and Irving to big money deals, so on paper, this is definitely something the New York front office can pull off. The Knicks still remain to possess one of the biggest markets in the NBA, which is surely one of the main factors why big-name players like Durant and Irving are lured into playing in The Big Apple.

After the Boston Celtics were eliminated by the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday, many believe that Irving might have already played his final game for Boston. The same can be said for Durant and the Golden State Warriors, with the reigning back-to-back Finals MVP recently going down with a potentially season-ending calf injury.

Will Smith's prophecy come to fruition? There's no way to tell right now, and we will need to wait a couple more months to find out.
