Dwight Howard is back in LA, signing a non-guaranteed contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. It will be Dwight's second rodeo in purple and gold after he unceremoniously left the Lakers in 2013 as a free agent.

This time, however, Howard is aiming higher as he teams up with All-Stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Howard won over Lakers players — including LeBron and AD — with his approach and mindset that is focused on winning a title with the team.

“He’s determined the make this the best opportunity by winning a title,” one source said.

Furthermore, Dwight is also ready to make up for his ill-fated tenure with the team back in the 2012-13 season. And as Charania reports, he “can't wait” to get started in his second stint in Los Angeles.

Howard's presence on the roster comes nearly a week after one of LA's biggest free-agent signings, center DeMarcus Cousins, went down with an ACL tear. The injury sidelines the former All-Star indefinitely right after a season in which he already came back from a debilitating Achilles injury.

With Davis, James and two-time champion shooting guard Danny Green, it's title or bust for Frank Vogel and the Lakers. Howard hopes to be part of the solution and not the problem this go-around, however.
