Frank Vogel was introduced as the Los Angeles Lakers' new head coach at a press conference on Monday, and one of the first things Vogel did was emphasize that he wants to help bring what is currently a shattered organization together:

“We need to build togetherness within our organization,” said Vogel, according to Ryan Ward of ClutchPoints.

Rumors have been swirling about the Lakers' front office being fractured after Magic Johnson stepped down as team president at the end of the regular season, with Johnson citing backstabbing as a reason why he decided to call it quits.

Since then, there has been rampant speculation about whom owner Jeanie Buss seriously trusts within the organization, and that is obviously not a good place to be, especially when the franchise had enormous plans after signing LeBron James last summer:

“You can accomplish amazing things if everybody is together,” added Vogel, per NBA TV.

Of course, it might end up being difficult for Vogel to help achieve this, as there is a general feeling that he is not really LeBron's guy.

As a matter of fact, some feel that the reason why the Lakers hired Jason Kidd as one of Vogel's assistants was to help keep James in check, and others have surmised that Kidd will essentially be the Tyronn Lue of Los Angeles, a callback to when Lue was an assistant coach for David Blatt during James' first year and a half back with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Vogel, who is most known for coaching the Indiana Pacers from the 2010-11 campaign through 2015-16, owns a lifetime record of 304-291.
