Longtime NBA shooting guard JR Smith has not received a ton of playing time as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers. However, the veteran sharpshooter made sure to make his own impact ahead of his team's Game 4 matchup against the Miami Heat as Smith arrived to the looming clash sporting a shirt promoting the brand, “Viola.”

“Viola,” which JR Smith is promoting, is a cannabis company founded by former NBA forward and entrepreneur Al Harrington.

JR Smith is certainly looking to make a legitimate point by wearing such attire as he is not only supporting a former NBA player in Harrington but also a black business owner, something that “Viola” prides itself on.

“Our focus is to empower minority ownership by creating a coalition of minority investors who own and operate Viola,” reads the company's official website. “Viola constantly focuses on our community including producing initiatives like feeding over 20,000 people across four markets in 2019 through a series of events, partnerships and Food Drives. To date, we have committed over $500,000 to partner with, fund and guide six applicants through Phase 1 as well as 20 applicants through Phase 2 of our Social Equity Program in Los Angeles.”

On the court, JR Smith's Lakers will be looking to extend its 2-1 series lead over the Heat, who most recently took Game 3 from Los Angeles in impressive fashion. With the Lakers winning the first two games of the latest installment of the NBA Finals, the Heat have since made it a series as a win for Miami on Tuesday evening would knot this clash at two games apiece.
