Despite all the criticisms about their age and their ability to go the distance, LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers are showing that they aren't a team you would want to face in overtime. Just ask the Dallas Mavericks, who are just the latest team to fall victim to the the Purple and Gold in OT.

Austin Reaves' clutch 3-pointer saved the Lakers from what looked like to be a crushing loss against a Luka Doncic-less Mavs team. In the process, he helped improved the squad to 5-1 when it comes to OT games.

Yes, that's right: the Lakers have the most number of OT games this season with six and they have won all but one.

The Lakers' only OT loss came at the hands of the Sacramento Kings (which was an exhausting triple OT that even singer Halsey had to go through). Meanwhile, aside from their latest victory over the Mavs, they have beaten the Likes of the San Antonio Spurs, Charlotte Hornets, Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers.

While LeBron James and Co. will probably want to avoid going into OTs, it is undoubtedly crucial that they are showing they can withstand the demands of an NBA game and close things when the going gets tough.

Los Angeles improved to 16-13 on the season with the win, as they now slowly climb the Western Conference ladder and show everyone that all the early-season concerns about them are way overblown.
