Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James was fully supportive of a Marshawn Lynch post-game presser, one that came in ominous fashion after his Seattle Seahawks were eliminated by the Green Bay Packers, 28-23.

Lynch had 12 carries for 26 yards, along with two touchdowns in the loss, before getting up on the podium and preaching some sound financial advice for some of the younger players in the league.

“I done been on the other side of retirement, and it’s good when you get over there and you can do what the f**k you want to,” said the 33-year-old running back. “Start taking care of y’all mentals, y’all bodies and y’all chicken. So when you’re ready to walk away, you walk away and you be able to do what you want to do.”

The hashtag #TakeCareOfYourChicken has since gone viral and it isn't surprising to see the NBA's resident preacher react positively to this, given his groundbreaking moments of player empowerment and his input with the NBA's Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Unlike the NBA, guarantees are slim and hard to come by in the NFL (unless we're talking about quarterbacks). Marshawn Lynch has seen this as a running back that has far outlived the life span of a football player at his position, one that is seen as disposable and replaceable from the athlete factory that is the NCAA.

Lynch is urging players to look out for themselves no matter what and not buy into the industry demands before vigilantly thinking of themselves before it's too late, as there are plenty of sacrifices that come with the profession.
