Amid the coronavirus pandemic which has suspended the NBA season indefinitely, Los Angeles Lakers guard Quinn Cook took some time to entertain some fan questions.

One fan asked how LeBron James has impacted his knowledge of the game. And Cook gladly shared that James' supreme understanding of basketball and work ethic has helped him the most.

“Just to see how hard he prepares on and off the floor on an everyday basis… you can nothing but learn from a guy like that. To have one of my idols be a big brother is a dream come true. He's the best teammate you can ask for,” Cook replied.

Cook also emphasized an interesting tidbit that only a few know of: that he was actually teammates with James in Cleveland. the Lakers guard actually inked a contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers and appeared in six preseason games. However, he was sent to the G League and suited up for the Canton Charge — the Cavs' affiliate.

James and Cook met again down the line when the Duke product was a member of the Golden State Warriors. In his two seasons under Steve Kerr, Cook went to the NBA Finals twice — once against James' Cavs. As the Warriors' back up guard, Cook rose up to the enormous responsibility of holding down the fort while the starters take a rest.

After his stint with the Warriors, Quinn Cook linked up with LeBron James again. Now, the 26-year-old serves as a reserve guard for the Lakers where he continues to improve on his basketball abilities under the tutelage of The King.
