NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal was honored by the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team on Saturday night, for all his years of success with the L.A. Lakers. The Dodgers held a bobblehead night for O'Neal, and he shared his appreciation for the city of Los Angeles.
“It's time for Dodgers baseball! Can you dig it? Can you dig it? Go Dodgers,” O'Neal said in a video message released by the team.

O'Neal won three NBA championships while playing for the Lakers. He also won a title after he left Los Angeles and went to the Miami Heat. The Lakers legend now works in broadcasting, although he also has an acting career.
The Dodgers, like the Lakers, are a franchise used to winning championships. The Dodgers have won the last two World Series titles. L.A. is leading the National League West this season, with a 49-28 record.
The O'Neal bobblehead showed the famous basketball player wearing a Dodgers jersey. Lakers fans would be able to get one for free by wearing Lakers gear to the Dodgers game on Saturday.
Those fans that came to watch the game likely left a bit disappointed. Los Angeles lost on Shaq's bobblehead night. The club dropped a 3-2 contest to the Baltimore Orioles.
“What I can take from this game is the willingness to continue to fight throughout the whole game, have an opportunity to tie the game right there in the ninth with really good swings,” Dodgers infielder Miguel Rojas said after the loss, per MLB.com. “We got a couple other good swings in the seventh and the eighth, but the ball couldn't find the grass and we couldn't score any runs. But yeah, credit to Rogers today. He pitched a good game.”
The Dodgers play the Orioles again on Sunday.
