Following Sunday night's preseason loss to the Denver Nuggets, most member of the Los Angeles Lakers bused their way back from San Diego to Los Angeles. LeBron James, however, decided to take a different means of transportation back The City of Angels.

Just as Kobe Bryant did throughout portions of his career with the Lakers, James decided to take a helicopter back to LA, and he documented it:

Bryant's helicopter was famously known as “The Kobe-Copter.” Perhaps James has a name for his helicopter as well, but he hasn't revealed it yet.

James, now 33 years of age and entering his 15th season of service in the NBA, had a solid showing in Sunday's loss. In his 15 minutes of playing time, the three-time champion posted nine points on 2-of-6 shooting from the field (2-of-2 from beyond the arc), three assists, and three rebounds.

Within moments of taking the floor for the first time as a member of the Lakers, James showed why he is still viewed as the best player in today's game. His first order of action was a no-look dime to Brandon Ingram. Later, James added two 3-pointers, including a fallaway jumper over Nikola Jokic.

Here are a sampling of his highlights:

“It was great to get back on the floor and then start a new journey for myself,” James said after Sunday's game, per Lakers.com. “Hear our Lakers fans that we have in San Diego. It was a great feeling to go out there and hear the roar of the fans here.”

The Lakers and Nuggets are scheduled to meet again on Tuesday. Tip-off inside the Staples Center is set for 10:30 p.m. ET with TNT having live broadcast coverage.
