Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James recently posted a GIF of him enjoying a championship cigar on Twitter in the aftermath of the 2020 U.S. Elections. He previously showed support to Democratic candidate Joe Biden who already surpassed 270 electoral votes to emerge triumphant against his Republican counterpart and now former U.S. President Donald Trump.

He also tagged More Than A Vote in his post which serves as a voting rights organization that aims to overcome Black voter suppression and encourage the youth to be more involved in polling proceedings, specifically in Black districts.

The four-time MVP had a long history of well-documented feuds with Donald Trump during his regime from 2017 to 2020. Trump recently told the crowd at Wilkes-Barre Scranton Airport that he felt bad for LeBron James, and said “down 71 percent,” which was a reference to the NBA Finals ratings, which went down significantly.

Via Yahoo Sports:

“When they don’t respect our flag, when they don’t respect our country, nobody wants to watch,” Trump said. “Nobody.”

With hopes of dethroning the 45th President of the United States, LeBron James remained committed to being socially active more than he ever did all throughout his career. He recently aided to pay court fines and fees for nearly 13,000 Florida felons in recent months to give them a chance to vote in the elections.

Joe Biden's win was a breath of fresh air especially for an American society that went through a tumultuous series of events in recent months. LeBron James' efforts to use his platform to effectuate change certainly paid off as the Americans now have a better situation to look forward to in the next few years.
