Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban says an ESPN report claiming Mavs center DeAndre Jordan has rubbed teammates the wrong way with what they perceive as selfish play is “ridiculous.”

Last weekend, DeAndre Jordan essentially stole a rebound from rookie teammate Luka Doncic, which caused quite the stir.

Mark Cuban, however, says everyone in the organization loves Jordan for how he has helped turn the team's defense around.

“It’s so ridiculous,” Cuban told the Dallas Morning News. “I mean, for god sakes, we’re No. 1 in defensive rebounding after being a horrible rebounding team [pre-Jordan]. And every guy on the team recognizes that.”

DeAndre Jordan signed a one-year, $22.9 million free-agent deal with the Mavs after spending the first 10 years of his NBA career with the LA Clippers. Jordan, of course, agreed to sign with Dallas in 2015, but had a change of heart and went back to the Clippers.

In 14 games with Dallas, Jordan is averaging 10.6 points, 13.4 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks. The high-flyer is shooting 62.5 percent from the field and an impressive 81.3 percent from the free-throw line. The Mavs are 10th in the NBA in defensive rating and held the Utah Jazz to 68 points on Wednesday. Jordan had four points, 10 rebounds and four assists in the win.
