Capcom has just teased some more new details in a brand new teaser trailer for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, but this trailer has only recently been showcased over on their Japanese YouTube channel and social media pages. Why this trailer hasn't been shown off the rest of the world is anyone's guess, but the trailer does give us a preview of many things to come with the upcoming expansion.

This short 34-second trailer, showcases all the new locales, monsters, and armor sets that have been previously shown off in the March 2022 digital event, but it also showcases some new things that haven't been seen yet.

The first silkbind move tease is with the Insect Glaive, as the hunter is shown placing his insect on the tip of his glaive, then swinging the glaive forward while hurling the insect towards Rathalos at a great speed. This move is very similar to a unique Insect Glaive move found in Monster Hunter Generations known as Extract Hunter, where the hunter performs a similar action in order to attack monsters while obtaining insect extracts quickly, so this new silkbind move in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak could have a similar effect.

The next silkbind move shown was with the dual-blades weapon, as a hunter leaps up and dives forward, drilling his blades into a monster. While this skilbind move was already shown off in the previous trailer, the preview does give viewers a good look at the Shogun Ceanataur, which is a returning monster from as early as Monster Hunter Dos for the PS2.

The third silkbind move shown has a sword and shield hunter swiping at a Goss Harag monster, then applying a buff to their weapon. This swiping and buffing animation seems to be very similar to a skill found in Monster Hunter Generations where sword and shield users can use a unique system called sword oils in order to buff and give their swords unique properties. While the buff could just be something simple as boosting damage, the potential return of the sword oils could be a great way to give sword and shield users an exciting edge in combat.

Lastly, the fourth silkbind move shown in the teaser includes a Switch Axe, which seems to have a new kind of counterattack that can be unleashed to perform an element discharge, as shown by the hunter swinging and bursting his Switch Axe after surviving a giant roar from Tigrex. The inclusion of a counter-attack for Switch Axe could be an excellent addition to the weapon, as the Switch Axe has been known primarily for offensive power while lacking many defensive capabilities.

Besides the new silkbind moves, the trailer also shows off armor and weapons designs from the new monsters, as well as showcasing many of the new monsters in action. Overall, the small teaser trailer really managed to pack a lot of new details in such a short manner of time. And there is still plenty more that we haven't seen yet, so Monster Hunter fans have a ton of stuff to look forward to.

Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak expansion will be available on June 30th for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
