As Trae Young gets prepared to hear his name on draft night, he has put together a select list of teams he will work out for, and it only includes four teams. According to Marc Berman of The New York Post, the four teams are the New York Knicks, Atlanta Hawks, Orlando Magic, and Chicago Bulls.

The Knicks hold the 9th pick in the draft, and there seems to be a lot of mutual interest between the two teams. Young's dad, Ray, told the New York Daily News that his son would be a perfect fit for New York because he lives for that type of spotlight. Knicks General Manager Steve Mills also thinks that Young has all the potential to be a special player in the league.

“He’s a little bit bigger than he looked on the court — a little bit bigger — but he’s an intriguing talent,” Mills said Monday at a gala hosted by the Hospital for Special Surgery to honor former Knicks great Bill Bradley via The New York Daily News. “You look at what (Young) did with the players he had around him and what he was doing at the start of the season, you have to say this guy has the chance to be a special player.”

Just because a team didn't get an individual workout with Young doesn't mean they won't end up drafting him, but from the sounds of it, these are Young's preferred destinations. The common denominator between all four of these teams is that they are going through a rebuild, but are only one or two pieces away from competing again.

The draft will take place on June 21st at the Barclays Center.
