Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James and a small group of NBA players reportedly turned to former President Barack Obama to ask for advice on how to handle the rest of the 2020 playoffs following the tragic Jacob Blake shooting, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.

James, along with NBPA President Chris Paul, wanted to seek advice from Obama after a heated players' meeting took place on Wednesday following the boycott of the NBA postseason games.

Per Charania:

Former President Barack Obama spoke to James, National Basketball Players Association president Chris Paul and a small group of players late Wednesday evening, advising them to play and utilize the opportunity to contextualize action they want in order to play, The Athletic has learned.

The 2020 playoffs will resume on Saturday after it initially looked like the NBA season was going to get canceled. The players and owners deserve immense credit for working out their differences on this one.

LeBron James, arguably the face of the NBA, wants to see owners put their money into poor communities and help players in the fight against racism.

The Lakers are up 3-1 against the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round of the 2020 playoffs. After losing Game 1, James and Co. have bounced back nicely and are one win away from advancing to the second round.
