Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James may be drawing some ire over his recent Instagram post about COVID-19, but he has also gotten the support of several NBA players.
James made headlines on Friday after he shared a Spider-Man meme seemingly downplaying COVID-19 and its symptoms. The said post showed the classic āSpider-Man pointing at Spider-Manā meme, only this time there were three of them and each were labeled as āCOVID,ā āfluā and ācold.ā
The Lakers leader didn't really elaborate on his take. Some see it that he is commenting on the difficulties of identifying COVID-19 given its relation to other illnesses, while some interpreted it that LeBron is not taking the disease seriously.
Still, NBA players like Trae Young, Marcus Morris, Spencer Dinwiddie, PJ Tucker and Miles Bridges seem to agree with LeBron's take about COVID-19.

Perhaps they all agree that it's difficult to determine what's COVID-19 or not? After all, LeBron James himself shared his frustration about the inconsistent results in COVID-19 testing in the past after he previously generated a false positive.
NBA players agreeing with his take could also just be an expression of frustration among their parts, especially since there have been a ton of COVID-19 cases in the NBA over the last few days. In fact, Young himself entered the league's health and safety protocols and has been deemed questionable to play on Christmas.
Whatever LeBron means with his post is subject to interpretation, but one things is for sure: he is not the only one getting frustrated with the COVID-19 issue ravaging the NBA.
