For NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith, the duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers is the best in the NBA. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors, meanwhile, are the second-best.

On First Take, Smith came up with a list of the top five duos in the league which was headlined by the James-Davis tandem. For him, their talent, size, and the fact that they are hungry for the title make them two of the best players in the world today. Below is his full list:

5) James Harden and Russell Westbrook — Rockets
4) Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving — Nets
3) Kawhi Leonard and Paul George — Clippers
2) Steph Curry and Klay Thompson — Warriors
1) LeBron James and Anthony Davis — Lakers

Some are probably raising their eyebrows at Smith for not placing Curry and Th0mpson as the best duo in the league. Smith explained himself by showering praise on the Splash Brothers:

“It's very simple. The greatest shooting backcourt in the history of basketball. Never before have we seen a duo that can shoot the basketball like this.

“When these two brothers return together healthy, I got news for you — sleep on the Golden State Warriors if you want to because you don't know basketball.

Do you agree with Smith's list? Or do you agree with Max Kellerman that Westbrook and Harden shouldn't be on the list in the first place? And Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons of the Philadelphia 76ers should be there?
