With just under an hour before the end of this season's trade deadline, the Sacramento Kings pulled the trigger on a deal, sending Skal Labissiere to the Portland Trail Blazers for Caleb Swanigan.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski was the first to report this deal between the Kings and Blazers:

Coming out of Homestead Senior High in Fort Wayme, Indiana, Swanigan was viewed as one of the top prospects in the nation. In fact, he was Indiana's Mr. Basketball in 2015. After being recognized as a McDonald's All-American, he went on to Purdue, where he earned All-American and Big 10 First-Team honors.

Swanigan, now 21 years of age, made 18 appearances with the Trail Blazers this season, racking up averages of 1.9 points on 31.8 percent shooting from the field and 2.9 rebounds in 8.1 minutes per contest. He's a solid presence on the glass, but the other parts of his game will need a bit more development.

For whatever reason, Labissiere, 22, had fallen out of Sacramento's rotation this year, only appearing in 13 games, with averages of 2.8 points and 1.8 rebounds per game. In 106 career games played, he's turned in averages of 8.0 points and 4.5 rebounds.

The Kings will be back in action on Friday night, when they'll serve as hosts to the Miami Heat. Tip-off inside the Golden 1 Center is set for 10:00 p.m. ET.
