DeAndre Jordan is finally a member of the Dallas Mavericks after spurning them in 2015, and he's already in the Mavs' record books.

The 30-year-old Texas native is the first Mavs player in franchise history to register a double-double in each of his first five games of the season, according to Dwain Price of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

DeAndre Jordan signed a one-year, $22.9 million free-agent deal with the Mavs after spending the first 10 years of his NBA career with the Los Angeles Clippers. The former All-Star, of course, agreed to sign with Dallas in 2015 but had a change of heart and went back to the Clippers.

DeAndre Jordan, one of the best dunkers and shot blockers in the league, averaged 12.0 points and 15.2 rebounds in 77 regular-season games with the Clippers last year while shooting 64.5 percent from the field.

Entering Friday evening, DeAndre Jordan was averaging a double-double for the Mavs, posting 15.5 points and 13.5 rebounds per contest.

Playing alongside second-year point guard Dennis Smith Jr., rookie phenom Luka Doncic and scoring small forward Harrison Barnes, the former Clipper is going to get a lot of open looks at the rim this season, and those looks are only going to get better once Hall of Famer Dirk Nowitzki is cleared to play from his ankle ailment.
