After leading the Golden State Warriors to three NBA Championships in four years, Steve Kerr is considered by many as one of the best head coaches in the game today. However, after it was revealed in a recent news report the 52-year-old predicted his team's six-game winning streak to close out the Playoffs, it appears that “psychic” is another title that we can now begin attributing to Kerr.

As detailed by Ethan Strauss of The Athletic, Kerr made the bold prediction after the Warriors were defeated by the Houston Rockets in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals. At that point, Golden State was down 2-3, and another loss would have meant an early summer vacation for the Dubs.

Naturally, Kerr had to rally his troops, and he did so without showing any signs of doubt.

“In the immediate aftermath of the Game 5 that put the Warriors in a 3-2 hole, Kerr was insistent that the Warriors were winning the series. ‘Look, we’re winning the next two,' he said. He then went even further than that, predicting six victories in a row.”

What made the message even more powerful was the fact that Kerr took each of his players aside, as he relayed the statement to them one by one.

“Kerr began by hugging Draymond Green, and conveying the message he’d give next to Steph Curry, then to the others, as he walked around the Houston locker room: We’re going to win six straight games.”

Some would consider this to be arrogance on the part Kerr, but after accomplishing the seemingly inconceivable task of sweeping LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in four contest after winning back-to-back games against James Harden and the Rockts (whew), it just speaks of how much belief and confidence the coach has on his amazing group.
