When married couples find out they are pregnant, especially with their first child, they are filled with happiness and excitement. However, for Jrue Holiday and his wife, Lauren, that feeling didn't last long.

On her fifth month, they found out that she has a brain tumor and would need to undergo surgery right after she recovers from giving birth. The New Orleans Pelicans point guard asked his team for a leave of absence to be with his wife, and they agreed to give him just that without hesitation.

Fortunately, Lauren, who is a retired USWNT Soccer player, was able to deliver their daughter safely. Her husband was by her side every step of the way as she went under the knife to have the tumor removed last October. Now five months since, she is as healthy as ever and is showing no signs of any ill effects from the surgery.

Holiday was recently featured on the #LeanInTogether campaign and recalled the difficult experience they had to go through. He explained how they now take turns in taking care of their baby and also called Lauren the strongest person he knows.

The Holiday's story is indeed about strength and relying on one another to overcome a very challenging and difficult ordeal. With the video he appeared in, he hopes it can serve as an inspiration to a lot people to never give up, and most importantly, make their families their top priority.
