The 2026 NBA Finals are set, and one of the internet’s most recognizable sports predictors has already made its pick.
Air Corgi, also known as “Steph Furry,” has projected the San Antonio Spurs to defeat the New York Knicks in seven games in the upcoming championship series.
The prediction comes after the popular corgi correctly forecast the outcome of all seven games in the Western Conference Finals between San Antonio and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Air Corgi accurately predicted the Spurs’ Game 7 victory after also correctly selecting the winners of Games 1 through 6.
The Knicks and Spurs will open the NBA Finals on Wednesday night at 8:30 p.m. ET at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio. The matchup marks a rematch of the 1999 NBA Finals, when the Spurs defeated New York in five games to capture the franchise’s first NBA championship.
For this year’s series, Air Corgi predicted the following results:
- Game 1: Spurs win
- Game 2: Knicks win
- Game 3: Knicks win
- Game 4: Spurs win
- Game 5: Spurs win
- Game 6: Knicks win
- Game 7: Spurs win

Air Corgi's perfect Spurs-Thunder predictions fuel confidence in 2026 NBA Finals forecast
The projection would give San Antonio its second championship of the decade and another title for a young core led by Victor Wembanyama. It would also deny New York its first NBA championship since 1973.
Air Corgi has become a popular figure among basketball fans and sports bettors in recent years by posting game predictions for major sporting events. While some forecasts have proven remarkably accurate, the corgi’s track record has not been perfect.
Earlier in the 2026 NBA Playoffs, Air Corgi predicted that the Los Angeles Lakers would overcome a 3-1 series deficit against Oklahoma City in the second round. Instead, the Thunder completed a sweep of Los Angeles.
Despite occasional misses, the corgi’s perfect prediction record during the Spurs-Thunder series has generated renewed attention heading into the NBA Finals. Whether Air Corgi can continue its hot streak remains to be seen as the Knicks and Spurs prepare to battle for the Larry O’Brien Trophy.
