Kevin Durant had himself a day on Tuesday. No, it had nothing to do with playing basketball. Instead, his day revolved around beefing with Charles Barkley, discussing Kyrie Irving after getting swept by Celtics, and defending LeBron James and Stephen Curry. However, none of that compared to a comment he made on Twitter after dealing with trash talk following the Nets getting eliminated by the Celtics.

Although he dealt with a myriad of criticism, it was the following Tweet which officially set him off.

Rob Perez is making the point that the show “Inside the NBA” is going to go after him for the way he handled things with the media.

Kevin Durant then replied with a Tweet that will surely catch your attention.

KD obviously feels like a victim. However, he also seemingly has an extremely elevated view of himself. There is nothing wrong with self-esteem, but Durant had to have known he was going to get roasted for referring to himself as “the god.”

Kevin Durant wasn't done utilizing his twitter fingers though. he replied to a commenter who stated:

“Calling yourself the god after that series is crazy”

In summary, Durant followed up his tweet referring to himself as “the god” by asking why people are mad at him and then asking them to be happy for him after the Nets were swept by the Celtics in the first round of the postseason.

Brooklyn undoubtedly has a bright future, but Kevin Durant is not making any friends on social media right now. But he probably does not mind. KD has no problem playing the role of the villain. He will aim for revenge next season.

For now, all we can do is sit back and see what else Durant decides to say on Twitter.
