The Brooklyn Nets were at the center of the biggest shakeup during the NBA's trade deadline as they shipped out James Harden for a package centered around Ben Simmons.

While the on-court product could very well get better, one fan took a shot at Nets stars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving for issues off the court.

“I think if you combined @KDTrey5 and @KyrieIrving maturity you would get the grand total of an upset 8th grader,” said the fan.

Kyrie Irving wasn't sitting quietly over the slander against him and his Nets teammate. Irving clapped back by trying to put things in perspective as one of the best basketball players on the planet, regardless of what others have to say about anything off the court.

On the same thread, the Nets point guard responded with a meme to one fan trying to defend him against criticism over how he conducts his personal business.

Kyrie Irving has long been a polarizing figure in the NBA. This season has arguably showcased that the best amid his hard stance against taking the COVID-19 vaccine, which resulted in several missed games due to local health mandates and allegedly pushing James Harden closer towards the exit from Brooklyn.

However, there's no denying his talent on the court. The man has won an NBA championship and is considered one of the most exciting offensive players ever.

If there were any legitimate issue with Kyrie Irving beyond the recent COVID-19 vaccine fiasco, it would be his health. Irving has missed a good chunk of regular season action and more than half of his teams' available playoff matchups the past few years.

Both Irving and Durant have a chance to quiet their haters this season if they can turn around what has been a rocky Nets season thus far. Maybe less fans would be taking personal shots at them with another ring on their fingers.
