The Brooklyn Nets have worked out several top prospects ahead of Tuesday's NBA Draft. Illinois freshman Keaton Wagler, the No. 6 player on ClutchPoints' big board, isn't one of them. Wagler had plans to work out for the Nets in recent weeks, but canceled.

He revealed his reasoning behind the decision on Monday.

“I already worked out for the [Chicago] Bulls, and then I was going to the [Los Angeles] Clippers. That’s four and five. I think just hearing from them and knowing where I stood, I just knew I didn’t need to work out [for the Nets],” Wagler told ClutchPoints. “But still meeting with teams and talking to them, whatever teams wanted. But then also I just felt like I didn’t need to work out, honestly, because they’ve already seen me play throughout the whole season.”

Wagler's comments suggest he's confident he will be the Clippers' pick at No. 5.

The 19-year-old has been linked to the Clippers throughout the pre-draft process. Los Angeles is reportedly searching for a sizable guard to pair with Darius Garland.

While Wagler didn't work out for the Nets, he told ClutchPoints he's met with them twice. The 19-year-old said Brooklyn expressed confidence in his skill set.

“I feel like [the meetings] went well,” Walger told ClutchPoints. “I talked with them at the combine, and I met with them again later. They just seem like genuine people who it would be nice to [play for]. They’re really good people, and they really believe in me a lot.”

With Wagler voicing confidence in his standing with the Clippers, Mikel Brown Jr. has gained momentum as a Brooklyn target. The Louisville guard met with the Nets at the combine. Brooklyn then flew to Orlando to meet with Brown and his family before hosting him for a workout.

Brown is the No. 5 player on ClutchPoints' big board.
