Kevin Durant's recovery process seems to be going great. In a video taken on Sunday morning at the Brooklyn Nets training facility, Durant is seen hitting jump shots and getting into some post-up action.

The two-time Finals MVP and 2014 league MVP is expected to miss the rest of the season as he's still recovering from his Achilles injury. However, there's still a possibility he may come back. Achilles injuries typically take nine months to recover from, which would be around mid-March for Durant.

Nonetheless, the Brooklyn Nets will most likely take the safe route by having him return next season. Head coach Kenny Atkinson has already stated that Durant won't play this season.

ā€œNo, I think weā€™re all on the same page. Thatā€™s not going to happen,ā€ coach Kenny Atkinson responded when asked about KD returning this season, via ESPN.

Last season with the Golden State Warriors, Durant averaged an astonishing 26 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 5.9 assists in 34.6 minutes per game. He shot 52.1 percent from the field and 35.3 percent from 3pt range. When healthy, Durant is arguably one of the best basketball players in the league.

Unfortunately, the Nets have had numerous injuries this season. Kyrie Irving, Durant's close friend and fellow 2019 offseason free-agent signing, has missed 29 of the Nets' 49 games this season due to injuries. Nonetheless, the Nets are still currently the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference with a record of 23-28. They'll be seeking to return to the playoffs for their second consecutive season.

The Nets will be back in action Monday night as they travel to take on the Indiana Pacers. Tip-off inside the Bankers Life Fieldhouse is set for 7:00 p.m. ET.
