Week 10 of the NFL is here, which means we are past the halfway point of the season. The Buffalo Bills will take on the New York Jets in an AFC East divisional matchup. It's time to continue our NFL odds series with a Bills-Jets Week 10 prediction and pick.
The Buffalo Bills are coming off their worst performance of not only this season but of the last few years. The Bills managed to only put up six points total in the 9-6 loss. Both defenses played well as there wasn't a single touchdown the entire game. Just five field goals to give the Jacksonville Jaguars their 2nd win of the season. Bills' QB Josh Allen went up against Jag's linebacker Josh Allen. The Jags' Allen got the most of Bills' Allen on Sunday. Allen sacked Allen once, while also intercepting one of his passes, and recovering a fumble that Allen committed. That was the first time that has ever happened in an NFL game in history. We probably won't see anything like that again as that game will undoubtedly be known as the Josh Allen game.

The New York Jets are 2-6 on the year and just lost to the Indianapolis Colts last Thursday night. QB Mike White left the game with an injury, so backup Josh Johnson came in and played extremely well. Johnson threw for over 300 yards and three touchdowns in the 45-30 loss. Elijah Moore scored twice and is turning into a very good receiver for NY. This will be a tough game against the Bills, who have a ton of motivation right now coming off a bad loss.

Why The Bills Could Cover The Spread
If the Bills are playing their best, then there shouldn't be a spread they can't cover. The Bills are clearly a better team than the Jaguars, but they didn't play like it on Sunday. It was just one of those games where nothing went right. That shouldn't happen again as the Bills face a favorable matchup on Sunday.
The Jets defense is improving but it doesn't have the talent the Jags defense has. They shouldn't be able to stop Allen as Jacksonville did. I expect Allen and the Bills' offense to find their rhythm again and bounce back with a big-time win over the Jets. The Bills' defense is fine and should dominate the Jets' offense in every way.
Why The Jets Could Cover The Spread
This is going to be a difficult test for the Jets on Sunday. They are facing a team that is extremely pissed off and are unlucky with the way the schedule is set up. Nobody wants to play the Bills this week. If the Jets are going to cover this spread, then this is how they will do it. Mike White is likely to start again on Sunday. He played well in his only start where they beat the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 8. He will need to repeat his performance and try and control the time of possession. The Jets defense will need to step up tremendously and try and contain Josh Allen like the Jags did. This won't be an easy task for New York.
Final Bills-Jets Prediction & Pick
I expect the Bills to bounce back and dominate the Jets. If the Bills let this game remain close, then they could be in serious trouble as the second half of the season begins. The Bills should get back into their grove and should win this game by at least two touchdowns. Because of how Week 9's game went, I would stick to the under just to be safe. Let them both prove they can score a ton of points before taking the over with these two teams. We all know the Bills can put up 40 against anyone, but scoring just six against the Jags causes some concern.
