In his second year in the league, Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson has continued to push toward being one of the top young talents at his position.

During this time, he has taken steps toward taking away some of the characteristics from other quarterbacks in the league to push him forward in his development. According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, Watson has voiced that he tried to model his game a bit after Prescott.

“It’s cool,” Watson said. “Dak is a friend of mine. We’re boys. We talk whenever we see each other. We want the best for each other and he’s a guy that I can watch and try to improve my game because we have similar things we do.

“We both can run, throw from the pocket and do some good things, have great leadership of the team. He’s a guy that, of course he’s one of the quarterbacks I look at as my time as I’m growing in this league.”

In his third year in the NFL, Prescott has become a solid quarterback under center has shown to have much poise and control of the offense. It is an aspect of his ability on the field that Watson is looking to carry with his ability on the field as he has a similar ability being able to move around in the pocket when necessary.

However, Watson has shown to be a more physically gifted player behind his athleticism and speed as he has been able to make plays with his legs while he has a strong arm that allows for him to make throws down the field. He has all the physical traits that have made him one of the promising young quarterbacks in the league.

Sunday's game against the Cowboys will be his chance to go up against one of his close friends while displaying the continued progression in his development.
