Most believed the Chargers would end up with whoever the Miami Dolphins didn't take, Tua Tagovailoa or Justin Herbert. Miller said that could still be the case, but Love is entering the discussion. There is a chance no matter which guy is available, the team could end up with Love.
Love is an interesting case, with a lot of different opinions on how he will fare in the NFL. He has a lot of zip on his passes, but he also knows when a softer pass is needed. Love also has a lot of success when he is throwing on the run, something that should help him in the league.
Article Continues BelowOne of the big knocks on love is his deep passes. He will often jump when he is throwing a deep pass which can really hurt his accuracy. He also has issues getting off his first read and into his second, something that will need to be worked on as he makes his way into the NFL.
The Chargers have been spoiled with the play of Phillip Rivers and the consistency of the quarterback since he came into the league. It's a luxury that not a lot of teams have had.
The hope is if they draft a quarterback in the first round, they will find someone who can give the team consistency for the next ten years.
