A lot of times when a player tears their ACL it means that they lose a little explosiveness but Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay doesn't think that will be the case with Cooper Kupp.
Kupp suffered his torn ACL last November but made a quick recovery and was already participating in OTA's earlier this offseason. He didn't start training camp on the PUP and has been a participant in everything the team has asked him to do.
McVay said via a team email that he doesn't just think that Kupp will be as explosive as he was before the injury, he thinks he might actually be more explosive.

I don’t think anything really surprises you about him because he’s the kind of guy that’s gonna approach the game and approach his rehab kind of in the same manner,” McVay said. “That’s really attacking it at full speed ahead. It sounds crazy but he looks more explosive than he was before, actually. Some of the numbers indicate that with just the way that we’ve monitored him and he’s feeling good. I think really the thing when you talk to him, he’s just kind of getting his feet wet as far playing the game again and getting underneath himself. Physically, the knee hasn’t bothered him at all and that’s a blessing for us all.”
Kupp hasn't been every been considered to have blazing speed but he is quick and does have getaway speed in the open field.
If he has gotten even more explosive, that is going to spell trouble for the rest of the league, and that means the Rams offense is going to be even harder to stop.
