Because Tom Brady hasn't done enough damage to all of us, a new report suggests that he'd like to become a coach right after he retires.

This is a world of difference from what Brady said two years ago, when he told the NFL that “coaching wasn't for him.”

“No, certainly not. I like playing. I wouldn't be a good coach. I don't have the patience to be a coach.”

Perhaps Tom Brady is looking for a more family-oriented position now that he's older. Perhaps, too, he's looking for a way to get off the field. There were unsubstantiated rumors that Brady was also looking to get into an acting career somewhere down the line, especially after he appeared on the Met Gala red carpet with his wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen.

Nevertheless, should Brady decide to make us all suffer and become a coach, he'll at least be able to look at the example set by Bill Belichick. Under that head coach's tutelage, the Patriots have indeed built a legacy brand, going to eleven Super Bowls (including this one coming on Sunday), and brought home five rings.

It will also be interesting to see if Tom Brady decides to keep himself in New England — where he's spent the majority of his career — or if he moves his talents out to Los Angeles so he can pursue that movie career, after all.

Regardless, Tom Brady and the New England Patriots will face off against the Los Angeles Rams in the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 3rd, beginning at 3:00 PM EST.
