Not much has gone right for the New York Jets this season, but it looked like wide receiver Keelan Cole had submitted a top candidate for Catch of the Year in Sunday's Week 8 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. Cole hauled in, with one hand, what appeared to be a sick 12-yard touchdown from Mike White.

This is insane:

Unfortunately, upon replay review, the Jets touchdown was overturned and the pass was ruled incomplete. Twitter went nuts after the score was taken off the board, because how in the world could that catch be overturned?

Other angles of the catch showed that by the letter of the law, the incomplete ruling was probably correct:

Still, we're just going to say that Cole got screwed. That's a catch, damn it!

Luckily for the Jets, they responded with a touchdown anyway. White hit Braxton Berrios for an 8-yard score, making it a 17-14 Bengals lead at halftime.

White is starting for injured rookie Zach Wilson. While the backup quarterback has been slinging the ball all over the place with 217 yards and that touchdown in the first half, he also threw two first-half interceptions.

It would be a shocker if the Jets can pull out a victory over a red-hot Bengals team.
