With the Philadelphia Eagles trading star A.J. Brown to the New England Patriots, as it's been rumored for an immense amount of time, the wide receiver would take time to say his goodbyes to his former team. As the Eagles posted their farewells to Brown on social media, the star would do as well in return.
Subsequently, posting to his Instagram account on Monday evening, Brown would share his thanks to the city of Philadelphia and the team for “welcoming my family with open arms from day one.”
“Thank you for welcoming my family and me with open arms from day one. This city, this locker room, and this fan BASE will always hold a special place in my heart,” Brown wrote. “To my brothers in that locker room – thank you for going to battle with me every single day. The memories we made together, on and off the field, are something I'll carry with me forever.”

A.J. Brown shares appreciation for the Eagles
Brown would start his NFL career with the Tennessee Titans after being drafted with the 51st overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, with the team having Mike Vrabel as the head coach. Now he'll be reunited with him in New England, as the Eagles got back a 2028 first-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick, but there's no denying the production that Brown had with Philadelphia.
Brown recorded over 1,400 yards in his first two years with Philadelphia, though the final two seasons just eclipsed 1,000, as he missed some time.
“The coaching staff, trainers, equipment staff, cafeteria workers, and the cleaning crew – thank you for everything you do behind the scenes to keep us going. There are so many people in the building who make it possible for us to go out there and compete, and I'm grateful for all of you,” Brown wrote.
“Playing for this city has been an honor, and I'm thankful for every moment I had in midnight green,” Brown continued.
Consequently, Philadelphia now prepares in the offseason to try to replace Brown.
