Indiana Pacers guard Malcolm Brogdon left Wednesday's tilt against his former team, the Milwaukee Bucks, early with a hip injury, per the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Matt Velazquez.

According to The Athletic's Scott Agness, the 27-year-old combo guard is questionable to return to tonight's matchup.

Brogdon, a former second-round selection of the Bucks from the 2016 NBA Draft, signed with the Pacers in restricted free agency last summer in a surprising move after many the ex-Rookie of the Year with Milwaukee would re-up with last year's NBA MVP forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Eastern Conference Finalist.

The 6-foot-5 Brogdon has played well in his first season with Indiana, however, injuries have plagued his 2019-20 campaign, with the University of Virginia product missing 14 games this year due to several injuries, with now a hip affliction bothering him. In 47 appearances, Brogdon has averaged 16.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 7.3 assists in 31.1 minutes per game for the Pacers, shooting 44.0 percent from the field, 31.4 percent from long range, and 89.5 percent from the free throw line.

Brogdon has been a splash of consistent play in the backcourt while two-time All-Star guard Victor Oladipo was sidelined for much of the season with his quad tendon rupture. Oladipo returned to the lineup to make his season debut at the end of January, but has not been 100 percent since his return, and his reemergence on the court has coincided with veteran wing Jeremy Lamb going down for the season with an ACL tear. Lamb was a successful free-agency pick-up last summer in the wake of Oladipo's injury from the previous season.

Should Brogdon miss extended time, it's clear the Pacers can't take much more injuries to their backcourt given their Eastern Conference playoffs aspirations.
