Malcolm Brogdon of the Indiana Pacers tagged their win over the Los Angeles Lakers as their biggest one yet. The Lakers at the time had the best record in the league at 24-3 and held a 7-game winning streak including 14 away from Staples Center.

While the victory came at the expense of the Lakers' missing superstar center Anthony Davis, it still sent a message to the best teams in the league that the Pacers, even without star guard Victor Oladipo, that they can match up toe to toe.

Brogdon also shared his thoughts on coming into a team as the new guy and immediately establishing himself as one of its focal points. To recall, after spending his first three seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks, Brogdon moved to Indiana via a sign-and-trade deal. For the 27-year-old, head coach Nate McMillan has helped him find his place in the team.

In 33 minutes of action, Brogdon chipped in 14 points, five rebounds, and six assists. He also converted on a lay-up over Dwight Howard late in the game. It proved to be the most important basket of the night.

The win extends the Pacers streak to four games. They have won seven of their last 10 games and currently sport 19-9 record for sixth place in the East.

Brogdon, the 2017 Rookie of the Year, is putting up career numbers in the 2019-20 season. He's averaging 19.1 points (a career-high), 4.5 rebounds (ties career-high), and 7.7 assists (career-high).
