Bryce Harper is injured? The reigning NL MVP was recently diagnosed with a small UCL tear in his throwing elbow. However, his recent 3-4 performance with a home run against the Dodgers makes it seem as if Harper is just fine. The Phillies are certainly grateful the universal DH. Harper can't currently throw the ball, but he can still smash it around the yard at the plate.

Harper commented on the Phillies mindset after taking the first two games of a four game series from the Dodgers in LA.

“We just have to come out here tomorrow and do the same thing. We can’t lay down or anything like that. That’s a great team over there.”

The Dodgers feature arguably the all-around greatest roster ever constructed on paper. So Bryce Harper is correct in saying that the Phillies can't afford to “lay down.”

Philadelphia's lineup has the tools to be amongst the best in baseball as well. The team struggled through the early going but seems to be heating up as of late.

Nick Castellanos and Kyle Schwarber make up an extremely formidable offensive-based outfield trio with Harper. The three sluggers all feature tremendous power and hitting ability. Once Harper recovers from his injury, they can also all split time at DH.

Phillies manager Joe Girardi commented on the team's lineup.

“We think we have a pretty good offense. At times we’ve struggled this year, but we’ve seemed to get it going a little bit on this road trip.”

The Phillies will look to clinch a series win against the Dodgers on Saturday. Bryce Harper and the offense will aim to keep rolling as well.
