Will the Los Angeles Rams sign Antonio Brown and demote one of Brandin Cooks, Robert Woods or Cooper Kupp? The answer is looking like a no.

After Brown's release from the New England Patriots, McVay was asked on his interest in the wide receiver on Friday. His response, via Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times:

“You always look into things. And we evaluate. But with the situation we have specific to the receiver position we couldn’t be happier with the guys that we do have.”

That will wrap that up. Though Sean McVay doesn't explicitly say “no,” he does mean it. In coaching jargon, “the situation we have specific to the receiver position we couldn't be happier with the guys that we do have” means the following for him and the Rams: “I'm not interested in adding another wide receiver, even if he is Antonio Brown.”

Perhaps the Rams and Sean McVay will add some depth to the receiving corps, but it won't be Brown. Who could blame them?

The Patriots thought they could have him conform to their “Patriot Way,” until allegations of sexual assault and rape arose, along with accusations of disturbing text messages. With the NFL taking a close look at the situation, the Pats released him.

Before then, Brown wasn't helping his stock. His 2019 offseason can be summed up in a 350-page novel; all you need to know is he forced his way out of two teams, froze his feet, threatened to retire over a helmet and couldn't earn the trust of a coaching staff that is all about reclamation projects.
