Ricky Rubio hasn't gotten out to the greatest starts this season.

The 26-year-old point guard is averaging career lows in points and assists this season as the Timberwolves have gotten out to a rough start to the year.

Rubio was once the subject of a lot of trade talk — mostly due to the stock of young players on Minnesota's roster — but that is now changing thanks to his struggles on the court.

Via The Vertical:

Chris Mannix: “The market for him [Ricky Rubio], despite that reasonable contract, has shriveled consistently because of how he has played this year.”

It's not often a player with a reasonable contract sees his trade stock plummet like this. Rubio is certainly losing some of those that used to believe in him.

There surely is still some valuable in the player that Rubio is. He is one of the most gifted passers in the entire NBA and can be the type of player that really assists a young team in turning the corner.

Minnesota just hasn't found that way yet and Rubio's struggles have a lot to do with that.
