Houston Rockets point guard Chris Paul didn’t have the most amicable split with his old team, the L.A. Clippers. His relationship with head coach Doc Rivers has been particularly contentious, with the two at odds over what the actual situation surrounding the organization was over the last couple of years.

However, Paul revealed to USA Today’s Sam Amick that he still keeps in touch daily with one of his old Clippers mates: center DeAndre Jordan.

“I talk to DJ just about every day,” Paul told USA TODAY Sports. “(About) everything. Life, hoop, everything. But I talk to him just about every day. Seriously … I always wish (the Clippers) the best, but for me – DeAndre, I talk to DJ literally about every day. And Jasen Powell, who’s the head trainer, I talk to him almost every day too.”

Paul and Jordan’s relationship has not been the clearest one to the public. There was reported “tension” between the two a couple years back, but both since clarified that they had a stronger bond than most realized. And apparently, their relationship is bordering on “BFF” (best friends forever) territory since they are still in constant communication even with Paul now in Houston.

It'd be interesting to be a fly on the wall for some of Paul and Jordan's more recent conversations, particularly with Jordan being rumored in potential trades.
