James Harden's debut with the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night when exactly to plan as the veteran guard shined, putting up a double-double of 27 points, 12 assists, and also grabbing eight rebounds for the Sixers.

Following the contest, several of his teammates reacted to the brilliant performance, including Joel Embiid, who made it very clear that it's never been this easy for him to score. As for the mastermind behind the whole blockbuster trade to bring Harden in, Sixers GM Daryl Morey praised The Beard in a rather subtle way, but you could tell he was hyped.

Via Ramona Shelburne of ESPN:

“I try not to get too high or too low, but that was a good one,” Morey said.

“James is a basketball genius,” Morey said. “And he's been wanting to play with Joel for a long time. I think he's always thought Joel was, like, the perfect guy to pair with him.”

The Sixers absolutely bullied the Minnesota Timberwolves, beating them by 31 points. Aside from Harden's standout night, Embiid dropped 34 and collected 10 rebounds. For once, the MVP frontrunner didn't have to do all the dirty work himself. Now, he has a legitimate running mate who can make the game that much easier for him.

Given how impressive this duo looked, this could be scary hours in Philly. Watch out for the Sixers.
