A lot was on the line in Game 6 between the Atlanta Hawks and the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night. The contest was intense throughout and deep in the fourth period, Sixers superstar Joel Embiid and John Collins nearly came to blows after a heated exchange between the pair.

Here's a look at testy moment between Embiid and the Hawks big man during a crucial juncture in the game (h/t ClutchPoints on Twitter):

Collins took exception to some extra action from Embiid after a foul call. Collins pushed off The Sixers big man while they were on the ground, which Embiid clearly wasn't happy about.

Here's a look at the entire sequence:

It looks like Collins quickly realized that there was no need for this late in the game and he appeared to try and pull out from the altercation. Embiid had other ideas, though. The Sixers star walked over Collins all the way to the first row. Trae Young even got involved at one point. For their efforts, both Collins and Embiid were whistled with technical fouls.

Things have been heated between Collins and Embiid all game long. Earlier in the contest, Collins tried to end the Sixers star's career with a humiliating poster slam. It looks like Embiid hasn't forgotten about that.
