Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid was utmostly excited to make his first All-Star Game appearance, but even more so to play alongside some of the world's best shooters in Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors.

The Process was sharp in his 20 minutes on the floor, going 8-of-13 from the field and 2-of-4 from deep — filling out the stat sheet as the only starter to have a positive plus-minus on his team.

Unfortunately, Embiid didn't think his performance was sharp enough to join Curry and Thompson in their prestigious shooting club as the third member of The Splash Brothers.

“I don't think so,” joked Embiid, when asked by ESPN's Ramona Shelburne if he had done enough to join the two elite sharpshooters. “I think I was 2-for-4 from three. I think my application is going to get rejected, but I think maybe I still got a chance.”

Embiid is a center with decent range, as he showed in the second quarter with a perfect rainbow three from the wing before blocking Russell Westbrook's layup attempt at the other end. Unfortunately, his 3-point acumen has declined since his rookie season, shooting a mere 29.7 percent this season, compared to his 36.7 percent mark through 31 games last season.

The humorous big man made plenty of plays in his first All-Star Game, scoring 19 points, adding eight rebounds, an assist, a steal, and two impressive blocks to his tally in a 148-145 loss to Team LeBron on Sunday night.

Surely this won't be the last time Embiid makes the trip for the mid-February festivities.
